ABOUT US
More Than an Auto Repair Shop. We're a Family That Cares About Getting It Right.
Rodgers Family Auto & Truck Repair began with a conversation around a Sunday family dinner in 2023.
The idea was simple: build an automotive repair shop the way we believed a shop should be built—one where customers are treated with honesty and respect, technicians are valued for their knowledge and craftsmanship, and doing the job right matters more than simply getting the vehicle out the door.
Today, that idea is a reality.
We're proud to be a family-owned and locally operated auto and truck repair shop serving Lorton and the surrounding Northern Virginia communities. But what makes Rodgers different isn't simply that we're family-owned.
It's
how we choose to do business.
Experience You Can Trust
The Rodgers family brings decades of combined experience in automotive service, management, customer care, and business.
David Rodgers Jr. began his automotive career in 2003 as a General Service Technician at Pallone Nissan in Springfield, Virginia. Over the years, he earned ASE certifications, Nissan and Toyota factory-level certifications, and Virginia emissions credentials while gaining hands-on experience in both automotive repair and service management.
Andrew Rodgers began working around automobiles before he could even drive, eventually building his career from General Service Technician to Service Writer, Manager, and Multi-Shop Manager. His experience has given him a unique understanding of both the technical side of automotive service and the importance of creating an exceptional customer experience.
Their father, David Rodgers Sr., and mother, Tina Rodgers, instilled in their sons the values that continue to guide the company today: hard work, honesty, responsibility, and treating people the right way.
Those values didn't start with the business. They're part of who we are.
We Believe in Diagnosing the Problem—Not Just Replacing Parts
Modern vehicles are incredibly complex. Today's technicians need more than mechanical ability. They need the knowledge, training, diagnostic equipment, and willingness to keep learning.
That's something we take seriously.
When your vehicle has a warning light, unusual noise, drivability problem, electrical issue, or an intermittent concern, our goal isn't to guess at the solution or simply start replacing parts.
We believe in taking the time to understand the problem, perform the appropriate testing, identify the root cause, and explain our findings to you.
A diagnostic code isn't necessarily a diagnosis. A symptom isn't necessarily the cause.
Getting the repair right starts with getting the diagnosis right.
We're Never Finished Learning
Automotive technology continues to change at an incredible pace.
New vehicle systems, advanced driver-assistance technology, increasingly sophisticated electronics, hybrid and electric systems, evolving emissions technology, and new refrigerants mean that the automotive industry never stops changing.
Neither do we.
We believe that great technicians and great automotive professionals should never stop learning. Continuing education isn't something we pursue simply because we have to—it's part of our commitment to our customers and our craft.
We continually seek out new information, training, technology, and better ways of doing things because
the more we know, the better we can serve you.
We Treat Our Customers Like People—Not Repair Orders
We understand that automotive repairs can be stressful.
Sometimes a vehicle breaks down at the worst possible time. Sometimes you aren't sure what repair is truly necessary. Sometimes several repairs are needed and you have to decide what needs to be addressed today and what can safely wait.
That's where communication matters.
We'll explain what we find, answer your questions, and help you understand your options. Our goal isn't to pressure you into buying repairs you don't need.
Our goal is to help you make informed decisions about your vehicle.
We believe earning your trust is more valuable than making one extra sale.
We Believe in Taking Care of Our People, Too
A great customer experience starts with a great team.
We believe technicians and employees should be treated with the same respect we ask them to show our customers. Mistakes should be opportunities to learn and improve—not reasons to tear someone down.
We want our employees to be proud of where they work.
In fact, one of the greatest compliments we could receive isn't simply hearing a customer say, "You fixed my car."
It's hearing one of our employees tell their friends or family:
"I love working there."
When you take care of your people, they take better care of your customers.
Our Commitment to You
When you bring your vehicle to Rodgers Family Auto & Truck Repair, you're trusting us with something important.
Maybe it's the vehicle that gets you to work.
Maybe it's the truck your business depends on.
Maybe it's the car your family uses every day.
We don't take that responsibility lightly.
Our commitment is to provide honest recommendations, thorough diagnostics, quality workmanship, clear communication, and genuine customer care.
We're not trying to be the biggest repair shop in Northern Virginia.
We're trying to be the kind of shop our customers can confidently recommend to their friends, their families, and the people they care about.
Locally owned. Family operated. Continually learning. Committed to doing it right.
That's Rodgers Family Auto & Truck Repair.
Welcome to the family.
